Our Story

River Bend Organics is a local family-run Farm situated in the picturesque Elands River Valley, about 45 kilometres from Nelson Mandela Bay. River Bend Organics is a year-round Farm that offers locals a variety of fresh farm products and the most of everything the great outdoors has to offer, including weekend getaways (coming soon), accommodation (coming soon) and horse-riding trails. 

 

At River Bend Organics we strive to utilize regenerative and sustainable farming practices to minimize the impact on the land and environment, while bringing the best and most healthy products to market. We specialize in hydroponic vegetables and herbs, pasture raised lamb and free-range chicken products, but offer customers so much more.

The idea for River Bend Organics began as a hobby during the initial lockdown when we decided to grow as much of our own food as possible. We experimented with various methods of growing vegetables, from soil-based crops to hydroponics, while raising sheep and chickens and even installing a few bee boxes around the farm. We are constantly trying to expand the farming operations and diversify the products we have to offer.

The Farm was finally established in December 2020 with the goal of bringing healthy, GMO-free, free-range and organic (persticide and insecticide free - we are not certified organic) farm products to the local Nelson Mandela Bay community.
